ABOUT

Hello!
Thanks for stopping by and for showing an interest in my world.

Back story:
I was born *a little while ago* in Brussels; brought up in an English home and was schooled in French speaking schools.

Music has always been a part of me.
Ever since I can remember, I've been singing.

I remember my childhood trips to the football field down the road, where I'd ride my bike to. Armed with my tape recorder in the front basket, a packet of crisps and a little juice box, I would just sit there and sing my heart out... As long as I was singing, life was good.

You see, life without singing is not conceivable for me.

It is what soothes me when I'm down, relaxes me when I'm stressed, and makes me forget my worries; it's one of the only things that really makes sense to me and makes me feel like I belong.

I started performing publicly with a band called Cocoa when I was 30, and although we had our little success and we all still get on, our agendas and various projects don't permit us to work together anymore.

These days, I sing jazzy style covers with two magical musicians and am loving every minute of it.

We're a trio called Cotton Flow
° Piano (Philippe Decock)
° Guitar (Laurent Stelleman)
° Voice (moi),
and I count my lucky stars to be able to sing with these amazing talents!

We do cover songs (jazz + jazzified/ revisited songs from the charts), I bring my soft carpet with me everywhere, I kick off my shoes and we do our best to bring you into our cozy cotton universe.

I have no idea where I'm going and that's what I find exciting about my life, but I do know one thing: that wherever I am I will always be singing :-)

See you out there! :-*
